In Mombasa a tropical coastal climate prevails and it is therefore, without doubt, a favourite destination the whole year round. From November till the middle of April rain is an exception and the temperatures climb to over 30°C . In May the rainy season begins and continues into June. But even then there is normally no continuous rain and the midday temperatures lie way over 25°C. In the months from June to October, the temperatures which predominate are the most pleasant for middle Europeans. In the highlands there are rainy periods from April to June and from October to November. The nights are relatively cool. The coldest time in this region is, with a temperature of 10°C, the time between July and August. The warmest time, with 26°C, is in January and February.
