Mombasa has a tropical coastal climate and is therefore a warm destination all the year round. From November to mid-April, rain is an exception and temperatures rise to over 30° degrees. During May Mombasa gets the long rains which last for about one month, but it is not usually continuous rain and temperatures rise significantly to over 25° degrees. From June to October, temperatures are the most pleasant for Central Europeans.
In the highlands, rainy seasons last from April to June and from October to November. The nights are relatively cool. July to August with degrees at about 10° is the coldest time in this region. January and February offer the warmest temperatures with about 26° degrees.
