TUI Environmental Champion
Severin Sea Lodge was again awarded as „TUI Environmental Champion" in 2009. This time, Severin Sea Lodge is the only hotel in Kenya that won this special award. The award is a special honor presented to TUI Hotel Partners who consistently orientate their hotel philosophy along the lines of sustainable hotel management and as such actively contribute to preserving the environment.

TÜV Rhineland has awarded Severin Sea Lodge and Severin Safari Camp in Kenya with its international hallmark of excellence.
It is for the first time ever that the German auditing giant TÜV has inspected and certified a holiday destination in Kenya. Severin Sea Lodge and Severin Safari Camp received their hallmark of excellence for service, performance and spa quality.
We are pleased to have received this coveted certification from the TÜV Rhineland, because they are very important quality indicators apart from the hotel star ratings.

Travelife Gold
Severin Sea Lodge received the »Travelife Gold« award for green and sustainable tourism. Travelife delivers industry-wide standards for sustainability management systems and provides best practice guidance and support for the companies implementing them through the provision of training, tools and references. An initiative created by tour operators and part-funded by the European Union, Travelife has been set up to support an efficient and cost effective introduction of sustainability principles. It aims to increase the quality of travel products, customer satisfaction and the quality of life in the holiday destinations.
