Experience your personal African dream on a safari to our luxurious Severin Safari Camp in the Tsavo National Park
Day 1:
In the morning you are picked up by your driver at the reception of your hotel and drive to Bachuma Gate in your comfortable safari minibus. You drive further to Tsavo River Gate, where you start your exciting safari with the first game drive. The way to the Severin Safari Camp**** leads you alongside the Chyulu Hills and the extensive African savannahs. The camp is located in the centre of the well-known Kitani wildlife area, which is close to the Tsavo River. Amid the African bush, you will experience luxury and comfort. All our tents and suites are equipped with hot and cold running water, showers, comfortable beds and private patios. At noon, you will have lunch at our Out Of Africa restaurant.
In the afternoon, an exciting game drive awaits you. This evening you will enjoy an á la Carte dinner in our restaurant. You can choose from a selection of fresh dishes and the finest African wines. The chef's speciality is game from the African bush prepared on a hot stone or served as fondue. You will experience the pure romantic of a safari when sitting around the nightly campfire and observing the animals at the waterhole.
Day 2:
The day starts with an early morning game drive along the springs of the Tsavo River - the lifeline for hippos and crocodiles. You return to the camp to have breakfast. Afterwards, you have time to relax at the KENBALI Spa. Enjoy the beautiful scenery from our pool or relax during one of our massages. Inspired by the African wilderness and centuries-old Southeast Asian techniques of wellbeing, our Spa is an oasis of peace and relaxation. Our trained therapists are happy to advice you on what to choose from the SPA Menu.
For lunch, you select from our á la Carte Menu in the restaurant and enjoy the fantastic view on the extensive savannah.
In the late afternoon, there is a special event awaiting you. At Poacher's Lookout, you will enjoy the beautiful sunset while having a glass of sparkling wine and canapés. From here, you have a beautiful view over the bush land of El Turesh.
On the way back to the camp you will experience the African savannah at night - a memorable adventure. After an exciting day in the African bush, a culinary dinner awaits you at our camp.
Day 3:
Discover the secrets of the African wilderness by foot! You are accompanied by a Massai, who shows you around. During the tour you learn a lot about the ecosystem, the multifaceted bird life and further park inhabitants. Back at the camp, you enjoy a delicious breakfast. Afterwards, you have time to relax at our wellness area or enjoy the nice landscape of the Tsavo National Park from your private patio.
You will dream of mystic, wilderness and the secrets of the Dark Continent at our KENBALI Spa. Let yourself be spoilt under candlelight by our carefully and harmoniously designed treatments, products and exotic food.
At noon, you will have lunch at the camp. Your game drive in the afternoon leads you through the nice area of the National Park. This evening you will have an á la Carte Dinner in our restaurant. From here, you have a wonderful view and you can observe the passing animals.
Days 4-7:
During the following days you undertake exciting game drives, but you also have time to relax at the wellness area. A great experience is the excursion to the popular Mzima Springs, a little oasis full of palm trees and acacias. These crystal-clear springs are idyllically edged with papyrus plants and provide the town of Mombasa with water. The area is a paradise for fishes, hippos and crocodiles. You will also have a bush lunch in the middle of the African wilderness.
Day 8:
After the breakfast you drive to the Tsavo River Gate. The game drive will guide you alongside the Roaring Rocks, which served the Mau Mau warriors as a hideout during the Kenyan Independence War. On the way, you can enjoy once again the unique landscapes and the breathtaking animal kingdom of Kenya. After you have left Tsavo West National Park, your way leads you further to Bachuma Gate and afterwards back to Mombasa. On the way, you enjoy a delicious picnic lunch. After an exciting time in the African wilderness, you will arrive at your hotel around lunch time.
