For the last 35 years Severin Sea Lodge has been renowned for its hospitality to its regular guests, who enjoy the excellent cuisine and the friendly and considerate service. The hotel was awarded by TÜV Rhineland in Germany, an internationally well-known certification company, for its first class service.
For us it is very important to offer our guests fresh and high quality food. Our vegetables and fruits come from our own biological farm, the Seba Farm, where no artificial fertilizers are used.
Kisima Restaurant
The Kisima restaurant offers a wonderful view on the Indian Ocean and has been upgraded to reflect the high quality and service that Severin Sea Lodge has become famous for. It is open for buffet breakfast and dinner in the evening. Our dinners differ from set a la carte menus to themed buffet nights. Breakfast from 07.00 am until 10.00 am. Lunch from 12.30 pm until 02.30 pm. Dinner from 07.00 pm until 09.00 pm.
IMANI Dhow Restaurant
We would like to welcome you on board one of the finest restaurants in Mombasa! The IMANI Dhow is a sailing boat built over thirty years ago-- a so-called "Zanzibar Jahazi". In former times it was used for trading between Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Tangiers and Mombasa. The dhow was mainly laden with differing goods such as mangrove wood, cotton and corn on the cob. The sailing boat has a weight of about 90 tons and has room on board for a crew of 16.
"Imani" means trust. We are very proud that Severin Sea Lodge has become its last port of call. Local workmen have converted it into a restaurant for fish and sea water delicacies.
Choose from the delicious menu created by our head cook on board -- between lobster, crabs and fresh oysters. For dessert, it is a pleasure for us to serve you an exotic mousse made from passion fruit. The old stranded sailing dhow offers an award winning á la carte seafood and international cuisine. Open from 07:00 pm until 10:30 pm.
Safari Bistro
The Safari bistro is situated next to the Safari Bar and has an Italian theme to its menu, specializing in pizza and pasta. Open for lunch and dinner, also serves late riser's breakfast. The Safari Bistro also offers Ice Cream and pastries. Open from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm.
Safari Bar
The Safari Bar has an amazing 360° bar counter: a lively meeting point for refreshments of your choice and pre dinner cocktails. We also offer freshly made Cappuccino and Espresso Coffees. Open from 09:00 am until 01:00 am. The Swing Bar overlooks the beach and serves cocktails, fresh fruit smoothies and regular bar drinks. Open from 09.00 am until midnight.
Johari Roof Terrace
The Johari Terrace is located above the Makutano room and easily accessible by a spiral staircase. This terrace is the perfect area for get-togethers, sundowners and cocktail parties. From here, you have a wonderful view of the wide tropical gardens and the Indian Ocean.
